Itai Lev is an Israeli filmmaker whose work explores memory, family, place, and the fragile boundaries between documentary and fiction.
Itai Lev is an Israeli director, screenwriter and producer working across fiction and documentary cinema. Born in Kfar Saba in 1970, he graduated with honors from the Department of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University. Over more than three decades, his films have moved between intimate personal stories, local landscapes, memory, family, and the shifting borders between reality and fiction. Alongside his independent filmmaking, Lev teaches cinema and has directed films for the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. He is currently completing work on Leon Is Missing and developing Ping-Pong.
